Li-Ning, Chinese sportswear company plans to celebrate the Brisbane 2032 Olympics by bringing Australia’s spirit and the games’ energy to its limited-edition runners. Li-Ning wanted a shoe design that represents the beauty and diversity of Australia and the unity, and passion of the Olympics, and a promotional video for social media-Youtube.
My concept solution Terrain – credits Australia's incredible natural landscape monuments and evokes the bold, energetic vibe of sports in the motifs as well as the motion graphics adverts.
Australian landscapes would arguably be the most authentic representation of Australia, with once in-a-lifetime sights of natural monuments to those visiting for the Olympics. Terrain is designed for diverse surfaces which the Australian landscapes offer for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. Since sports are associated with movement and high-energy, the illustrated motifs are placed in freestyle evoking action. Likewise the promotional graphics are edited to be fast-paced with dramatic cuts, visuals and music, featuring Australian landscapes, natural monuments, and Olympic athletes resonating with Li-Ning's athletic and adventurous target audience.
